Random Things to Talk About

We recently concluded our Intramurals/Sports Festival yesterday. In our school the intramurals isn't the class vs. class type. All of us high school students are grouped into 4 teams. This year I'm with the Black team. I was included in the roster of players for volleyball but since I'm not a varsity player and all the other players are,I wasn't able to play. But it was fun to watch the games. The first volleyball match between the Red and Blue teams was enjoyable, as well as the special volleyball game between selected teachers and students. The basketball games were fun to watch, too. Our team was very good. They won the overall championship for basketball. Unfortunately though, our team did not win the overall champions title but at least a lot of my classmates won awards. And our team won the Best Cheerdancers award. We only had one school day (yes, ONE SCHOOL DAY equivalent to 9 hours approximately to complete a 6-minute performance) to practice our dance and stunts so of course we're happy that our efforts paid off.

I'm a student graduating high school and next May or June I'll be entering college. I successfully passed all 4 entrance exams I took but now I'm confused as to where I'll go. I'm quite confused if I should go to University of the Philippines (UP) or De La Salle University (DLSU) in Manila. Both are good, so really it's hard to pick. I originally wanted to go to DLSU, but when I went there to pass my entrance exam application, I was quite.. scared to go there because most of the people studying there are of higher class societies (a.k.a rich kids). The atmosphere I felt when I went there was something I couldn't fit into. They seemed to be very extravagant and trendy. I'm not a sociable person, actually I'm quite allergic to rich kids so I'm kinda hesitant as to whether I'll go there or not. I prefer hanging out with simple people.
So I could go to UP if I wanted to. There the atmosphere's a lot simpler (actually the people there wouldn't care less if you wore house clothes to school), and tuition's a lot cheaper. A lot of people at school have been telling me to go there instead, but the problem is the course I passed there was Behavioral Sciences, which is a course I am not too sure about (Computer Science's my 1st choice, and I just randomly wrote a course for the 2nd choice). I was told to just shift courses after the 1st year, but I've heard it's hard to do that there and also my sister told me it could affect your final grades if I did that. And besides, right now I am not too sure whether I want to take Computer Science or not. Honestly, I don't know what course I want. So it's kinda hard to choose.

One of the things I miss doing is graphic/web designing. I used to do graphics and maintain a website until a year ago, but due to the toxicity of schoolwork I stopped. Also I felt like I still didn't have enough skills to continue. So now I want to learn graphic design again from the start. I hope I could learn from communities here in LJ. Yoroshiku. I really want to be able to make graphics. I hope I could make a good layout for my journal, something that will represent me and which I could be proud of :]]
